Finishing Instructions
4 Triangle Expressions Pillow

Supplies:

•  1 1/3 yd. 45” or 54” fabric of choice
  
  
•  4 buttons
  
  
•  4 yds. small diameter cording
  
  
•  2 yds. fringe or 4 tassels depending on choice of finishing (both fringe and tassels are not recommended)
  
  
•  1 bag polyfill

Finishing Procedure:

1. Cut out 4 needlepoint triangles: Using 1 triangle as a pattern, cut out 4 triangles from fabric. Cut out 2 squares of fabric using the straight edge of triangle for size. Place 1 yd. of doubled cording at point of triangle – raw ends towards point and bar tack to secure.
   
   
2. Place 4 fabric triangles on 4 needlepoint triangles, right sides together. Stitch on the 2 angle sides leaving straight edge open for turning. Clip corners and turn right side out. Machine baste straight edge.
   
   
3. If using fringe, baste fringe on all 4 sides of 1 fabric square on the right side. If using tassels, baste 1 at each corner of fabric square. Baste 1 triangle on each edge side of square. Place second fabric square on top of triangles, right sides together. Stitch on 3 sides – leave 4th side open for turning.
   
   
4. Clip seams and corners – turn right side out – fill pillow casing with polyfill. Close open side by hand.
   
   
5. Sew 1 button on each needlepoint triangle at point. Tie 2 triangles together – then tie the other 2 triangles together.
